Let’s assume there’s another five hundred years before the monetary system collapses and large nation states implode. Ignore the fact you know it’s already starting. Five Hundred Years. Does considering an escape route today seriously inconvenience you? Not really. So why wait? It’s not a matter of timing but of wisdom. The time to embrace wisdom is today.
If you establish an offshore presence (For Brits Wall Street is an average private offshore tax haven, just as The City in London is a so-so offshore business center for everyone not British), you will be able to invest in a more diversified and potentially profitable mix of ventures than your government allows you to consider at home. You and your family can enjoy vacations that broaden the mind and reveal opportunities. You will become more interesting people. You might legally find ways to save a bit on taxes. Your offshore life savings are less vulnerable to piratical law suits than onshore – because privacy is still possible in many parts of the world. There will be legal maneuvers available that will amaze you. You’ll discover new markets, and be able to build competitive world wide distribution for goods or services while not hog-tied by manipulative regulations. There is likely to be better and more affordable health care. You might find romance or re-ignite it. And much more.
You’re certainly well within your rights to continue picnicking on a target; but it will not be a sacrifice to visit a safer and more pleasant spot for your supper. You can always come back to the target after extortion and exploitation have run their course and get property cheap.
Is Washington DC a Country?
For a moment consider the ramifications if the following assumption were to be true.
“DC is a city-state that controls the United States the way Rome controlled Italy. A city-state that tries to control the now known universe as Rome tried to control the then known world. A city-state that does not want to die. A city-state that may tax away every chicken in every pot, and then give back dry bread, perpetual war, and murderous circuses. Is it a zombie of a city-state that will feed on it’s citizens rather than quietly go to it’s grave in history? . . . Eventually it was destroyed like all seemingly immortal empires before it. It too was mortal. DC started its suicide when it made itself more important than those it was created to serve. It just refused to be buried.” JM
If that were true, what sane person would want to remain within its easy reach?

In the real world, once protest is more harshly difficult than compliance; compliance wins. Rules will then keep expanding until all but a select few are fully subservient. At some point protest becomes less painful than slavery and a revolution may occur. It’s time to consider escape routes and establishing safe havens long before that vicious cycle begins. Eventually even discussion of escape is criminalized.
Time may be running out.
Get your passport and take a trip. If you find a country that offers benefits your current domicile denies, open a bank account. Consider residency in paradise (What does your personal paradise look like? Go there soon.) while you evaluate your favorite destinations.
